Getting Started

How do I create an account?

Download the app and enter your phone number. You will receive a one-time verification code via SMS. No email or social media account is required.

How do I vote?

On the Browse tab, swipe right on a topic card to vote YES, or swipe left to vote NO. You can also tap the check or X buttons below the card.

Can I change my vote?

Yes. Your vote is never locked in. Find the topic again and vote differently — your previous vote will be replaced.

Is the app free?

Yes. Publik.vote is free to use. You may see occasional ads, which can be removed by completing your profile (2 quick questions).

Account & Privacy

How do I delete my account?

Send an email to [email protected] with the phone number associated with your account. We will delete your account and all associated data within 48 hours.

Can anyone see how I voted?

No. Individual votes are never displayed publicly. Results are always shown in aggregate only — percentages and total counts.

What data do you collect?

We collect your phone number (for authentication), your votes, and your approximate location via IP address. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

How do I remove ads?

Go to the Profile tab and complete your profile by answering 2 quick demographic questions (age range and country). This permanently removes all ads.

Troubleshooting

I did not receive the verification code

Make sure you entered your phone number with the correct country code. Check your spam/blocked messages. Wait 60 seconds and try again. If the issue persists, contact us.

The app is not loading topics

Check your internet connection. Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem continues, it may be a temporary server issue — try again in a few minutes.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Send an email to [email protected] with the topic title or a screenshot. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours.

The app crashes on startup

Make sure you are running the latest version of the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling. If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and OS version.
